I equipped the bike with one of those "Amsterdam"-style rear-wheel locks and am also carrying a heavy duty chain, so I can lock the bike to some type of large, unmovable object. The bags are all locked to the bike (though, with pretty thin cable that could be easily defeated). This camping spot was pretty remote, so I felt safe just leaving the bike near the tent. But, I suppose I could also remove all the bags and store in the tent, as well. Security-wise, I think cities are likely the most dangerous places and need to be really careful to never leave anything unattended.
